UTLEON3 VHDL Sources Released
Following the publication of our book about the UTLEON3 processor at Springer we have released the sources of the processor on our web pages. The processor UTLEON3, derived from Aeroflex-Gaisler's LEON3, was developed in the Apple-CORE project and it is now released under the GPL license.
The UTLEON3 Book
Springer has published our book about the design, implementation and evaluation of the micro-threaded processor UTLEON3 that we have developed in the Apple-CORE project. The accompanying VHDL sources of the UTLEON3 processor, derived from Aeroflex-Gaisler's LEON3, will be released under GPL in December on these pages. For more details about the book see the Springer web.
DSD 2012
We presented our paper Reducing Instruction Issue Overheads in Application-Specific Vector Processors at the 15th Euromicro Conference on Digital System Design in Cesme, Izmir, Turkey. The presented work is one of the results of the SMECY project.
DDECS 2012
We have presented our paper The Architecture and the Technology Characterization of an FPGA-based Customizable Application-Specific Vector Processor at the 15th IEEE Symposium on Design and Diagnostics of Electronic Circuits and Systems in Tallinn, Estonia. The presented work is one of the results of the SMECY project.
Optimizing C Compiler for the PicoBlaze Processor
We are pleased to announce the first public release of our optimizing C compiler for the Xilinx PicoBlaze processor. The compiler toolchain can be downloaded for academic and non-commercial use. The toolchain is built around the LLVM compiler framework and the elfutils low-level binary tools. It consists primarily of the optimizing C compiler, gas-like assembler, and ELF-based linker. The software was developed in project SMECY.
HiPEAC 2012
We will present our recent results at the HiPEAC conference. At the SMECY tutorial we will present the features of the extended EdkDSP platform developed at UTIA. At the Apple-CORE workshop we will describe features of the UTLEON3 processor with micro-threaded extensions. The events will take place on Monday afternoon and Wednesday morning respectively.
