Corner detection (Important points for object identification and tracking)

Description

This package contains software for image edge and corner detection using the OpenCV library. It implements edge detectors (Laplace, Sobel and Canny) and Harris-Stephens corner detector. The purpose of the detection is to find important points to be used later for object identification and tracking.

Installation notes
  • Download package
  • Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86 or x64) - Downloadable from https://www.microsoft.com/downloads
  • Unzip package
  • Add the 'Lib' directory to the PATH system variable or copy the libraries contained there in to the 'App' directory.
  • Using the 'cmd' command, open a terminal window in the 'App' directory
  • At the terminal window command line, run the 'Corner.exe' program with the image file name as parameter
